Poem Twenty-Five

Make New Rhymes

The complexity of life can be frozen frame by frame,
images and scenes recorded in journals and photos,
spoken words too it seems.

We record CDs and sound  bytes,
we hold data on USBs,
trying to retain the moments
that flew away with the breeze.

We can only capture what was,
yet so much waits to be,
and in a blink of an eye the past has gone you see.

Even the devices can fail us,
the photos destroyed,
the images lost,
gone away.
So let us  be happy, do  what we can,
and treasure each and every day.

Love one another, enjoy your life, set aside any anger
and banish strife.

Set goals, dream dreams, discover new things,
and try not to waste any time,
Today is waiting, welcome it,
Enjoy it and make new rhymes.
